@Unknown - work is good, half-a-day gone. Glad that I managed to close some reports. Of course, in between I was doing all those "other" stuffs!! You know what I mean

@Unknown - It happens at times, balance is more on personal side rather than work! It happens to me when that particular week has an additional holiday! How is the weather generally there at he moment? Here it's been raining more than we could ask for

Love writing short stories, and I do the conventional way! Love long drives and enjoy watching mother nature. From my office room I get a good view of sunset! BTW, I am completely an anti social person, hence the private parties and vacations!! What are your interests??

@Unknown - Vanathi is like Chipsmore - Now you see, now you don't!! Ha ha... I will be landing in Chennai but will head to Mahabalipuram on the same day. We are getting a service apartment in Chennai. Any nice place you can suggest so that we can KIV it?

KIV means?...mahabalipuram is not much far right..east coast road....wow!..it reminds me of chennai.. I want to visit soon.. drive along the east coast road is awesome!

lol ... :) .. i like that.... 'chipsmore' ... hey u're really fond of foods .. aren't ya!!! ... Mahabalipuram is nice .. haven't been there ... google for some homestay apts. i'm also new here .. i landed here last yr myself... so don't know much about the area yet!!! :(

If you're planning on some serious shopping.. visit T nagar :) ... they have anything and everything there !!!

@Van what r u suggesting re...@Ranj Nungambakkam is hot!...also beasant nagar to chill out..but I believe it is too crowded now..it was not when i was there

I was put up in Royapetta and one time.. and then in Nungambakkam.. and in Adyaar a third time!!! all places were decent.. didnt like travelling to OMR and ECR.. too far.. must have developed now..

are yaar .. some days back she mentioned she wanted to go for some serious shopping ...

besant beach is gud, marine beach.. city center (shopping, movies, FOOD), pvr cinema (they have this awesome new restaurant ... grilled specialities)

or there might be some chennai tours u can book .. one day they'll show u the entire city!!

@Unknown - Yes, the drive to Mahabalipuram via the coastal road is breaktaking and so is Pondicherry. KIV, means to keep it as backup just in case the apartment we have taken is not as how we wanted it. Especially the cleanliness, washroom and so!! Since it is going to be all girls vacation, safety matters!

@Vanathi - Malaysians are fond of FOOD!! and Penang is the food paradise in Malaysia!! And eating on time is a must. Just a litle bit about Malaysia when it comes to food I always do my shopping in T-Nagar, the famous Pondy Bazar and Renganathan Street and also the Gudown Street (not sure how that is spelt!). Leather items and gems are quite reasonable there I find.

about KIV.. its been a long time..for me..so cant really suggest any place...why dont u check out Pondicheri :)..do visit that also..dont miss

When it comes to Chennai, it is fierce shopping for me. And movies too ;) Planning to watch Endhiran again, this time in Chennai And next year June will be visiting Mumbai and Delhi. Now, can't wait for that

during 2001,2.. we never had that many options..

I  remember we used to go to this big food court at Chetpet..dont know if it is there.. then the Amaravati restaurant for Andhra food..ok this was when I was student..so dint go 5* or 3* places..but very decent places..

@Ranj nxt yr June u will be coming to mumbai..by then i will explore mumbai and tell u all details

@Unknown - I like to goto normal places too for food and shopping, as I like to mingle with the locals. Be like one of them lolz... Only when it comes to accommodation, I tend to be a little fussy.  Indeed Chennai had changed a lot, for better! Compared to the 90s when I was first there and then, now in 200s, it's is more organised!

@Ranj right.. <2005 and >2005 total tranformation..i have a friend who is into real estate..he deals with selling shoppin spaces..he was telling me about the upcoming malls..mindblowing

@Unknown - Certainly I will need your suggestions for my Mumbai trip.India itself has changed so much, for better. As I said, things are so much organised now.

I must thank my good old friends in India who had helped me for all my India trips. So much so, they have made me feel like a local there now!
