Your content is nice. But the background design of your blog is distracting. Try to change it. Otherwise you have made a good start. The format is nice and convenient.

Can you give me suggestions on the Background? I tried without a background pic, but then the blog looks monotonous and dull.

Great blog, great content - Few things I noticed about the design.

1. Always use a white background to write text, high contrast ratio increase readability 

2. Use justification and increased linespacing to make text more readable

3. Fance fonts works best for large headers, but for menu bars and titles, use sans fonts instead of serif fonts.

I agree with Harsha, you need to do something about the background...could experiment with a solid colour, (eg indiblogger too has a solid theme!) May be a self-designed one if a plain one looks dull...
