Ranjith

It shows only recent voters.

Laughing

Laughing

where do we see all vote count. there ought to be a tab of no. of votesLaughing

this means which topic is winning remains a suspense till announced. wowLaughing

Ranjith

Yes Cool

May be this is done to prevent people from getting influenced by the vote count! Laughing

Also to prevent ppl asking others to vote for their ideas to defeat a higher voted idea Smile

Ranjith

You can ask for votes on this thread ( either directly or indirectly Tongue out) ( till the time someone comes and says 'Not allowed' ) Tongue out

Those who liked my idea 'XYZ' do vote for it.

'XYZ' idea is cool.

Submitted the idea 'XYZ'

Cool

NSV I think it has been fixed Cool because when I posted the above reply, the topic 'Describe 5 things you miss about the 80s! #GoodOldDays' was not there and I remember voting for it. Cool

There should be some incentives for the top 3 bloggers (ranked by indivine votes). The best incentive could be of course, as ND suggested above, that the post be published in a newspaper. And I would suggest, the next 2 best posts be put up on indiblogger site itself with prominence (in some parts of landing page of the site). That would be promising enough I guess.

I think the only caveat here is selecting the best posts, which is a headache the IB team would not want to have Tongue out

I detest vote count to be factor for post selection of any sort. It will drive nasty vote garnering tactics.

@RioDe: Yeah true, I too don't like indivine votes. But then choosing the best posts will become quite a difficult task for indiblogger team.

Gaurab

I'm against the indivine votes being a criteria  as well.

What is it? I didn't get it Cry Kindly somebody please explain it to me Embarassed

Every week an idea will be selected out of all the proposed ideas by IB'ers. You have to blog about it and submit it within a week

Fairy Princess

Ok. So it's like a prompt that's selected by IBers?

Yo, one topic selected by bloggers by votes and participants write on that. Nice concept.
Within 15 minutes a topic for next week will be announced.
I think top two or three ideas should be selected for writeup on any one or all, as per liking. To some one idea may not appeal much.

I wish there was an 'Vote down' button for ideas. Undecided

I donot think it is of any use, just ignore rubbish ideas.

i think report tab in topics may be one option. explicit words of Adult nature, is it allowed or ..., this should be also clear.

But my post is not yet visible under Indispire edition-2 ?????? Undecided

The Indispire page shows that there are no posts under this edition as yet. Wondering why??Innocent

Why the Idea I propose on Indispire gets fewer votes?

Are the numbe of votes visible to the original poster? Innocent

Nandini Deka

we all can see it, dont we?

Saket Kalikar
from Hyderabad

No, we can't. We can see only upto five votes. We can not see the exact number of votes, even for our idea.

Ranjith
from hyderabad

Thanks Saket. I didn't submit any idea. So, I wanted to know if the original poster of an idea can see the votes received for his idea.

Ranjith
from hyderabad

But you can keep track of the number of votes received by each idea by noting down the voters list once every few minutes. Cool

You can also write a program to automate the task. :P

very awkward Rajith didnot post any idea, but only votes for them.

At 10PM every Thursday, the next edition activates, and the idea with the most votes is selected. In the case of a tie, the IB server selects one at random.

Earlier it was, 'IndiAdmins select an idea' to break the tie. Innocent

Kudos to the Indiblogger team for always doing the best to help us bloggers!
