Hey folks, so here's the situation on the prizes - there was a series of delays at Bacardi's end, and at the end of it all, the person in charge moved to another role and handed it off to someone else who was traveling and just got back. We've been told that the vouchers have gone into print (we were sent a copy of the same as proof) and will be dispatched by the end of the week.
About the vouchers - the details are a bit sketchy at the moment, and we will hopefully have more clarity tomorrow. What we've been told as of now is that by law, alcohol cannot be door-delivered (except in Mumbai), hence the vouchers need to be redeemed at designated stores in your respective cities.
As for the Bacardi goodies, I hope all of you have received them already!

Although, I didn't participate in the contest, there's a question.
Did then now know earlier that one can't do a doorstep delivery of alcohol products across India?
They came to know this after so long? Even after knowing this, they must've kept their commitments with marketing campaigns, like this one, keeping it clear of people's roles, and transfers. Acting in this way, IMO, Bacardi is undoing the good, they planned to achieve with this contest.

We had an update by Renie 3 weeks back and it was also mentioned that the vouchers are gone into print and will be dispatched within a week..
Now it has been more than 2 weeks to that...lets wait for Renie to give us the final updates...
I am seriously contemplating taking down that blogpost I wrote for the contest. In fact, post this contest, I have not partaken in any other, because I realized that begging for the prize is not my cup of tea. And you have to do that regularly. It is manageable when one is a student, but not when one is an entrepreneuer and has a professional life too. I hope I do not get tempted to do any other contest with indiblogger, or any other blogging network for that matter.
In my head, Bacardi's reputation has seriously taken a hit and I might do a blogpost just stating the same. And no, I am not threatening any one. I am just stating what I feel. Indiblogger and Bacardi, please feel free to keep my voucher/prize with you. I don't think I want it any more.
Divya, I understand what you're saying. I don't think Bacardi thought about the eventuality that if all bloggers take down their entries or write a negative post on their experience, how the entire contest can flip on its head and harm their brand :)
Bacardi has recently been warned about this very thing. Our last warning email was sent this evening. We would appreciate it if you guys give us a few days - we're not sure if the brand is being irresponsible, or if it's just one of their representatives. If they don't respond in a satisfactory manner, you'll witness a war between @IndiaBacardi/@BacardiMusicCDs and @IndiBlogger.

The vouchers have finally reached the IB office at Mumbai. We'll be shipping them to you soon!
Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't have that war. One of their reps said that it was sent last week (Tuesday), and we've been calling him everyday for a dispatch number. Finally the dispatch number was given to us on Saturday, and not surprisingly, we find that it was dispatched on Saturday. I simply don't have any decent words to describe the lack of responsibility from this guy.
