The contest details inform us that 'the most interesting writings stand to win great stuff from Lufthansa...' -- now does this mean that there is something more than the 1K vouchers for most winners? Does Lufthansa plan to give away goodie bags to 'every' post that deserves a mention, irrespective of whether it wins one of the prizes or not?
If I accidentally win the first prize, who will pay the other-way fare to Germany, re? Any volunteers?

That is a clever way of bagging 100-200 backlinks just for 10K+approx 40-50K I suppose... but not smart enough! [Amused]
They are not bagging backlinks, they want more exposure. There are better ways but yet this is nice contest.
More backlinks= better SEO= better exposure... so isn't that same?
Yea if it was about reviewing a product thing could be explained more in your light.
You are free not to write If they want backlinks, they can sponsor 10-20 smaller contests on popular bloggers blogs.

There is only one day for ppl like me who write on the last day, regardless of the duration of the cotnest. So no countdown.
