How about  a Bose Soundlink or a Bose Wave Music System or a Bose Sound Dock? Isn't it about time that these Audio giants thought of testing the Indian bloggers and their strengths?

For instance, we've never had a contest sponsored by Philips... and they do have a range of products that bloggers will love to compete for. Why is it that only companies dealing with cosmetics are so excited about blogging contests? Is there a perception that most bloggers are capable of writing just mushy nothings?

I think that's because they prefer business content over personal content.

I doubt that. They called me for a press conference+ basic demo session for their active noise-cancellation IEMs, but since the source of sound had 20 splitters strapped on a chair and then each of them having one of these units. My audio H/W review contributor wasn't there, but there was a very loud and harsh hiss sound that gave me a serious pain after couple of hours. When they asked me about it, I told about the harshness. The reply for that however was,"Okay, but did you enjoy it?"! lulwut!!!Nah nah!!! I think it should be easy for indiblogger to rope them in. They're more interested in promo content, atleast based on the experience I had. Rs. 24k worth of IEMs which can split your head into 2 and will require more than 1 painkiller to numb the pain around the ear. Good show!!But if Indiblogger wants, they can try Logitech too. They have their UE lineup so that's worth a shot! I think those guys are usually in Delhi and Bangalore. Its worth a shot.

Your dream seems to be coming true, Mr. Passey. British Council contest - Bose sound dock and if any they are the ones more likely to offer writing courses as prizes maybe at a next contest. You can't imagine some FMCG product offering a writing course abroad.

Well, TF, the prizes on indiblogger are becoming bigger and better... and i'm sure this is helping more and more people to gravitate towards blogging.

May be we should create a list of prizes that we don't ever want? Maybe I will start the thread with Hobbit's Diary starring at the top slot

I've been dreaming of buying a set of walkie-talkies now... you know those handheld sets that have a range of 20 to 30 kms and you talk to each other on a specified frequency. those are the ones I want... and now don't say, 'You already have a mobile, so why do you need a walkie-talkie?' 

'Man, I need a walkie-talkie because I need a walkie-talkie... and I don't have a reason for this.' :)
