Eva Kaili was arrested in Belgium on 9/12/2022. She is from Greece. She has been a Member of European Parliament since 2014 and was Vice President of European Parliament. When I first read about her arrest, I thought she was the only Vice President of European Parliament so a very important person. Usually, a Parliament does not have multiple Deputy Speakers or Vice Presidents. Later I came to know she was one of the 14 Vice Presidents of European Parliament and so not that very important.
