I recently had the privilege of visiting the newly inaugurated Swahid Smarak Khetra- a magnificent tribute to the martyrs of the Assam Agitation (1979-1985) Dedicated to the 860 brave souls who sacrificed their lives to protect Assam’s identity, language, and culture.The complex beautifully preserves their legacy through bust statues and a gallery of historic photographs related to the Assam Movement.
