Tartar arises from plague, when plague stays for a longer time on your teeth; it hardens and turns into tartar.The longer this substance stays in the mouth, the more problems it will cause. Even if you take good care of your teeth there are some bacteria left in the mouth which leads to tartar and that may eventually lead to cavities and tooth decay.
