How to be famous in 48 hours

I need to write a short thank you note to all 45 compassionate,  discerning, unselfish, Indie Vine bloggers who voted for my entry Chiggy Wiggy with Hindi Poetry which resulted in this entry reaching 2nd rank in popularity for "Top in 48 Hours Category". I earned my moment (it perhaps lasted only that) of glory. I owe it to all the people who voted for my blog. I have been vying for number one position but the difference with Daniel Joshi was more than 15 votes. Daniel is perhaps shooting for top 9 contributor position or break the record of 140 votes of Fair Skin blog entry.

So how does this voting system work and what purpose does it serve?

My blog was a long and winding manifesto. It would need 7-10 minutes of patient reading. The average internet page view time is less than 3 minutes and as per analytics report the average time spent on this article is less than internet average. I am not complaining. I got the traffic hits, people read what they like which is fine, as long as I get the votes.

Oh! did I mention that I voted continuously and indiscreetly (including Tamil and Telugu blogs entries which I couldn't read). I did read some of the them and perhaps did leave a few comments too. Funny thing is that you don't need to read or view the blog to vote for it. This option though is open to all but is mostly exercised by bloggers who have attained sainthood!

Thanks one more time.

Keep blogging!

Lalit
