Reason for me choosing this blogname 'saivadivel' is:
Sai - my wifes nameVadivel - my name. So just merged both and made a blogname ... nothing much :)
I write my thoughts here majorly in Tamil. There are few posts which I made during initial days (for ex: post about Vedas) are still in English. Just go over my blogspace at your leisure and let me know your thoughts.
Actually I have a technical blogspace (http://vadivel.blogspot.com) as well.
Hi, I visited your saivadivel. Great blog in Tamil. I read Tamil haltingly, though I am a Tamil myself. I liked the simple and neat layout. The posts have a nostalgic ring to me as they link me to my mother tongue. It also exudes the sweet smell of Tamil culture, literature, cinema and society. I read a few of your post on Rajnikant, my favourite actor.
I have bookmarked this site and will be coming back again and again.
One suggestion, which you can follow if you think fit. Give more posts about Tamil literature, Tamil personalities, Tamil cinema, and the Tamil way of life. It will give your blog a rare personality and uniqueness.
Make it the blog where anyone who want sto get a feel of Tamilness can turn to. It is 90% already that, but you can easily make it more so.
For example, I would like to see your views on great Tamil literature - novels, short stories, ancient Tamil literature and so on.
Also about the great Tamil empires of Cholas and the Pandyas and how a modern Indian can relate to them or how they are relevant to us, and so on.
And about Tamil icons like Rajaji, MGR, Kamaraj, Subramanya Bharati, Kamban, even our Karunanidhi and Jayalalita.
You could also talk about the great Tamil diaspora spread over Singapore, Malaysia, Burma and of course Sri Lanka, where they are currently having a hard time.
