Neat!

The photographs are excellent. And the associated text is ally good - very well written.

Just one observation - why don't you use a photograph of your own house in the head of your blog? Or is that your house?

Generally it is a good idea to choose a blog name that reflects the content of your blog. This would help a casual visitor to stop. But now that you have chosen to use your name in the blog there is not much you can do about it. can you? I would have homeinstyle.blogspot.com or something similar.

Cheers,

Thanks a lot Amitabh!

Truly appreciate your review...and yes you are absolutely right about all your observations...yes it is all my home snaps...from the very first to the very last...(well atleast so far).I also agree with your comment about about the name of the blog. The reason I used myname  is because as a designer ...my name is my brand name...this blog is an added effort to move it further.Your thoughts were mine when I started ...but I am building on with a circle of people who know me and look out by my name.  The casual visitor factor ...I need it too ... and am working on that...will love to hear any suggestions you may have. Thanks a millinon gain about caring to share your views. They are truly appreciated.

P.S- Do let me know what the women folk in your family may have to add along with your observations.Wish you a very Happy New Year.

Hi Rajee,

Excellent blog! First things first, I would applaud you for the effort you have put into your blog. The pictures and associated writeups are informative. I loved your writing style, it is simple and good.

Just a couple of suggestions: As a first time visitor to your blog, it took me some time to find out about the topics you wrote about (Home Styling, Celebrations, Christmas, Flower Arranging, Restoration, Collecting, Gardening, Craft). It would help if visitors to your blog would not need to scroll so much to view them. Maybe the 'On this blog' section can be moved up, so that it is more easily visible to viewers.

Also, on the right hand side of your blog, pictures with titles of 'Christmas' and 'Inspiration' are posted. Absolutely wonderful pictures. Personally, I would have them as a slide show with individual titles. You could also link them to the individual posts, so that when visitors click on a picture they like, they are driven to the particular topic on your blog.

My personal favourite is the 'Flower Arranging' category.  Looking forward to many more postings in this category!

All the best!

Thanks,

Adarsh.

Rajee,

Will show it to my wife sometime and get back to you. Did not think of your name as a brand. Clever move that!

Thank You Adarsh,

Truly appreciate your review...and I will make the changes you mentioned. It means a lot to me that you would take the time to write to me about them...Also a lot of times I have material to put up and being technology challenged...takes me a while to figure out my way around. And figure out the best way to present the photographs and posts. For example the link from the photographs to related posts...have been scratching my head about it for a while now. :)

As for my writing...wow it is a compliment ...because I am no writer...just a designer...and so I don't like too much hi...fi jargon.I personally enjoy things more when they are easy and simple.

Will also keep your flower arranging request in mind...top priority...in fact will just go and check out my florists stock...

Thanks for all the inspirtion and encouragement.

Rajee

P.S - talk about mutual admiration club... I appreciate the causes you write about. Please do keep in touch.

I looked at your blog, and I think you need a template with a wider column, since your topic requires high quality images to complement it. Look for a template where the image takes more focus, and the text below it acts as a description/opinion from you as a blogger.

Keep blogging! Smile

Hi Rajee,

Your blog is very soothing for eyes at the first time. Pictures are excellents, the photographer needs a pat on the back. Though i m a non techy amateur blogger, i second renie's and ved's comments. The content is lost in the background due to the dull font, you might need to make it either bold or a little bigger. Second thing that i noticed, and i assume it might very well be the case with most of our connection, too many pictures will take time for the blog to load, sometimes the readers might get annoyed, so my suggestion is, it would help your readers a great deal in turn you, if you can restrict the number of pictures.

Hi JK,

Thanks for the compliments ...and I shall pat my back... and give a kiss to my camera ...I assume you'd want me to do that...Smile... Points taken, about the fonts... I guess I need to double  check the settings on couple of computers and not just mine... little bit of setting diff. might be misleding my efforts... as for the photographs ...JK... that I think may be delayed due to connection ... but I think I can also do something to make them load up faster ( I think sooo....)... but you  see photographs ... they are the reason you will read , the writeup... it is very boring without visual connections... thats the thing in my line of work... its like the cofee table books we buy... but shall look into the loading up part... thanks a ton for caring to write ...
