I believe you should be loading good pictures from your camera rather than downloading from net.  Good luck

I don't have much idea about photography but I feel that one can take decent (if not great) looking photographs even with a mobile. Now don't ask me to do the same. Smile

Coming to question of the Internet being loaded with numerous high quality images- The internet already has great content but still new blogs keep emerging every day. Each one has a different perspective about the things around, and so every blog survives. In the same way, if people find something interesting in your photos, you photos too will be able to survive the race.

If you have decided to start photo blogging, all the best! Smile

I am not a photoblogger in its complete sense (as in I post a lot of other stuff) but I do post photographs. A lot. And I use a point and shoot.

I have seen these wonderful photoblogs which have photographs only taken from point and shoots and they are amazing!

Composition matters. Quality matters. Mostly it is how you take pictures. There are people who take awful pictures with an awesome dSLR and others who take stunning pictures with point and shoots.

Also, try being very critical. Think which is the best photograph (even it is one among 10 good ones) and post that. It is better for someone to see one breathtaking picture and want to come back again than see 10 good pictures and think "Oh ok...big deal".

Good luck and happy blogging maam!

SLR's will give you complete control on your photography, but its better to set up a portfolio with your p&s, ask your friends if they liked your clicks, click regularly. If you still hold on to the passion, go ahead and get a SLR for yourself.

Thank you so much friends..
