Why do you participate in contests?
Just wanted to understand the primary motivation behind people participating in blogging contests.
I can think of a few : Prizes,interesting topic,sense of achievement/recognition on winning,excitement of waiting for results.
How would you rate/order these/any other factors?
Also
Would you participate in a contest if there is no prize money but the contest is interesting?

To answer your question, Madhur, I'd put the order of getting the incentives of contest-participation in the following manner - interesting topic,sense of achievement/recognition on winning, prizes, excitement of waiting for results.
That's for your options. My prime motive for participating in a contest is that I write on something I wouldnt have thought about in the first place and thats done within a stipulated time. That gives me interesting topic with a set time. 
For the second question, I'd put in an emphatic yes. Till now, all the contests I have participated in have been non-monetary. What's your order, btw?
