Cyclicality of Traffic

I have two blogs, one is a personal blog where I blog about a variety of things ranging from gaming to business. The other is a blog where my colleagues and I write specifically about Financial trainings and Exam Prep for different financial certifications.

When I see the traffic for both these sites in Google Analytics (GA), I see that the training blog has a very regular pattern (high throughout the week, dip on the weekends). This is a standard pattern I guess with most sites on the internet. However, my blog does not have any such discernible pattern.

Here are the screenshots of both the GA profiles.

Shiv, you can give links if it helps in some way to enhance the thread. Promoting your blog by giving the URL of the blog in every place is what is not encouraged. It is because if one starts, the others will feel they can also promote that way, and start doing that, which will take away from the point of discussion. Smile

Well, your training blog has consistent topics I think, so there would be high pattern consistent visitors through the week, and maybe a slight dip on weekends. Your personal blog might have more diverse topics that appeal to variety crowds, and some might get the readers and some won't. So random patterns in your visitors traffic. Happens for my blog too.. One day I might get over a hundred visits, the next day it might fall to even ten. It's normal I suppose Smile
