Web Syndication: Good idea or no?

Hi folks,

Does anyone here have any idea/experience of web syndication of blog posts?

From what I am reading, I understand that it can be a good tool for getting our blog out there to a wider audience and building our brand while also making some money but what I am concerned with is --> duplication of content. Can this be an issue?

What do you think about it - is web syndication of our posts to say, a highly reputated web group.. a good idea worth considering or no?

backlink to original post..

because it will also help Google to know from where it originated and who is  the original author...

Once while browsing through NDTV good times, I had seen syndication under one of their tabs. Dont remember opening and checking it out though.
