Spa voucher, added bonuses, by Dove

My son got his hair spa massage got done today, at delhi, vlcc, centre. After everything he was shown a weight management test free, which he took. Now they started their marketing skills on him, and showed him a package of 65k and a discount of 35k since he was the chosen one, . For 1200/- free gift they get a potential customer whom they can easily sell something. He escaped in my name, saying he has to seek permission.

I don't know if Dove is partner to such programmes worth 65k, but still one has to be cautius, not to get lured into their gimmicks.

How is all of this related to blogging? Everybody tries to market their things, there is nothing new in that! If somebody comes to your shop to buy a ring, after that is done, wont you try to ask the customer if he/she needs a chain, earrings, anklets, etc!! And if this is some voucher won in some contest, then should the experience not be shared on the contest thread? I dont think it requires a new thread.

65k! :-O 35K! :-O We can buy masala dosas and mangoes everyday with that money for an entire year. :D

The lady at counter tried hard to sell the package, but here too was a miser, like father like son.
I was thinking my hair spa done this saturday, will put in my experience.

You can take a video of how the man / woman tries to sell the product and watch it whenever you are not in good mood ;)

This related to the prize i won and in that prize was a hidden agenda of nutty companies to loot some money, and this comes under social causes. Check uour vocabulary and then come up. This prize was a hard won after strenuous efforts. Cheating ways to allure people does come under social causes. If you have specified agendas on what should not come ubder this, please specify explicitly point by point.

My question is simple - What did you win? Suppose it was a hair spa voucher and your son went to get that done. Now did they tell that they wont condition his hair (whatever the prize meant) until he enrolls in some weight loss programme? Or did they try to ask/push him to enroll for it after he was done with whatever the prize was? Now if that is the case then its normal course of action where one has to politely decline any additional offer which needs paying money. When I go to the barber to have my hair cut he always asks me if I want to get a shave (i always shave at home so I decline).. When I eat pani puri, after one plate, the guy asks if I want more.. Almost thrusting another one in my plate, I decline... When I go to buy at a local grocer, after I am done, he asks anything more! So it is a thing which happens everywhere! I even gave the example of your own jewelry shop!! But if they refused to redeem the voucher which you had won IF you did not enrol in some extra program which required payment of extra money then you can write about it in the CONTEST THREAD in which you had won the voucher. I hope my reply is clear.
I hope the lawmakers are happy now.

Honestly, such tactics gives a bad experience rather than good when you're leaving a place. But then again, in India they always push sales, not experience. But why would hair require a massage? :-s.

True, bro,
Bro. DS, when one starts asking something with the vehement lines"how is this related to blogging", if i do have some brains left, will have to think, how cone annoy a blogging class teacher, or a serious offence of gravest form inflicted on indie by putting up an entirely bogus unrelated topic on platter. It is entirely unrelted and please delete this bogus thread.

You ask of selling ring etc. if ambani has given prize to some winner and he comes to my shop to claim it, free, i will give that to him, but will i try to show him my jewellery costing 65k and sell him for discount of 35k though my prchase price is 60k just because he is a winner from ambani's, i hope I am in my senses.
I am reminded of great russian economist, who tried to save money by saving , on cigarette 0 packets. He bought cartons of cigarette cases and sat smoking in closed doors, thinking and calculating the amount of money he has saved by consuming these cigarettes at such discount.
