IndiRank and Alexa Rank

Hi.

Alexa, these days, does not gather stats for a website, if it isn't registered as a paid website on their platform.

They charge a whopping 120 $ an year for a basic registration.

With most bloggers being amateurs, does it make sense to use Alexa Rank for caculating the IndiRank??

IMHO, it makes sense to discard Alexa Rank as a means for determing the IndiRank.

Any views?

Thanks.

No Rio - I don't think what you say is correct - Alexa is used. Google pr is not.

Alexa should not be used, I think.

Actually, Alexa does gather stats, even when a website owner doesn't pay. When you pay them, you need to install a tracking code, and Alexa then gives that website a "verified alexa" badge, and some Analytics info.

Also, Alexa is used for IndiRank, with relatively low weightage given.
