Can someone give a list of words that are more common in India than in any other english speaking nation?

From my side, there are words like "super", "that only", etc.

Yogeshwar, did you mean conversational English ?

There are specific examples of 'Indian English' too. For example, in India, what we know as 'Brinjal' is called as 'Aubergine' or 'Eggplant' in other English-speaking countries.

Interesting topic! How about "Peter"? (meaning an Indian who speaks in English?) Smile

I have heard of 'Peter'. Also 'Thames' (a reference to River Thames in England!) for an Indian who speaks a lot in English, though he knows other languages!!!! Smile

Hmmm... interesting topic. Here's a few..

Make a move - Shall we go?

You only told no - Its you who said it.

You saw the movie-a? - Did you see the movie?

I didn't go only - I didn't even go.

Good responses..

There are other usages which are a mixture of hindi and english like:

pan-wallah, chai-wallah

I will go parsoon (I will go tomorrow)
