MozRank is a type of Google's Page Rank, it goes up by building more links, mainly from sites with higher MozRank because links from lower Moz rank blogs will not be useful. Keep in mind that MozRank, like PageRank of google, only looks at the strength of the link profile, and not the quality of those links on other. If you have a lot of spammy links, links that are paid, links with exactly matching anchor text, or links from too many of your own sites, etc., those links could be devalued by Google or even trigger penalties.
