To all Bengali Bloggers
When I tour all around blogosphere, I see Bengalees are writing Bengali using English alphabets. This is unfortunate, given that bloggers from Bangladesh mostly write using Bengali script. Moreover, in the era of vista and unicode, almost all browsers and OS display Bengali script without much hassle. So, why don't people write in Bangla?
One of the reasons is that they are happy to use English alphabets to write Bangla and they get used to it soon. I wrote so many emails in my life using the same methodolgy. It's just a matter of inertia. The other problem is a variety of Bangla writing methodology are available who are different in many ways and they have serious compatibility problems with browsers/applications.
To get around this problem, I created one blogging platform, mostly based on wordpress, to enable bloggers to write Bangla even if they don't have any Bangla writing tools installed in their computers. It's totally internet based and we do support Google powered Bengali transliteration. The transliteration is an wonderful way to start for those who used to write emails in Bangla using English alphabets.
