SquareSpace is also good but it is not free.

Try Posterious. Its a late entrant, but a good one!

I used to be with Blogger for over a year when I switched to WP. I find WP cleaner with less fluff. Of course it does not allow a lot of niceties which blogger does, but then if the content is solid, I think any hosting site is good.

Both are good!
