What happens to your Tweets / Facebook / Emails when you die?
Few days back, I had a Crazy question which popped up in mind -
” Can we give a privilege to someone, who can update our Facebook / Twitter when we die? – Just one tweet/update that – this guy is no more! “
I wrote to the Privacy team of Twitter on the same.
Here is the the response I got - ”If a twitter user passes, we will remove the account or leave as is on request of the family. We will not send out any tweets on their behalf or give access to the account to anyone else.”
Facebook has recently publicised a feature called memorialisation that lets the family of deceased users keep their profile page online as a virtual tribute. Turning a profile into a memorial will remove sensitive information from the page and restrict access to the deceased’s friends. The family will not be allowed to log in to the account or access private messages, but can request that it be taken down.

well, its a thought that rocked my mind too.. but lets face it, wont your friends know if you are no more.. and the best about being an Indian is that you always make sure that your sentiments are reached out..
i had a school friend who went missing from a ship.. well its too saddening to remember it now coz he was really close to us, part of a core group of friends.. to this day, his Orkut account is active, and i have seen a lot friends of his coming and posting an obituary msg..
that itself tells everyone that this person is no more.. now the question is how can anyone else even tweet or update as you do? no right.. that wont give you that feel.. so its best left unattended and let nature take the course 
True Hemal. But I liked the Facebook stuff - where it converts your profile to a homage portal. That's awesome.
I know a friend who lost her life in the Air crash last month, Her last tweet said.. she is at Airport and her Account is still active. If her followers are from other countries.. they might not know. Though people add your id to their tweets, your followers will never get to know the message., as they follow your twitter handle and not search for it.!
