i always check only alexa rank

but now i have  checked my page rank it is 3.

do you know any blog which have rank of 6 or 7 if yes please let us know.

I used to have PR 2 on my blogspot account - then I migrated to my own domain in February - lost all my page rank :( though it had the same content. I am trying to build it up again.

So this is how it works:

Page rank (0-10) is a lot like what IndiRank is here on this forum. It is a direct reflection of how popular your website/blog is in the world. Some blogs/websites are older and have a lot more content and appear high on Google search results. These have a high page rank. Page ranks increase when there is more networking - i.e. more and more websites/blogs link to you. When a highly ranked website links to you, you get more points and it contributes to your page rank.

Page rank also increase when the number of hits per day is high. It means that Google recognizes your website as a popular one. A PR of 4 is very high. NYTimes.com has a rank of 9.

Several scammers try to increase their page rank by referencing them thru viruses, worms or even using other websites of theirs. Google sees through this by having algorithms that check the quality of content.

I hope I answered some questions?

Mutual blogrolling is a great thing for page rank upliftment. If your blog'slink appears in a page with high page rank you rank automatically goes higher too.
