Followers/Email subscribers How many do you have?
I was checking my Google feedburner subscribers today and found out that I have 52 subscribers (
) But the problem is that only 32 of them have verified their subscriptions while the rest have forgotten to complete of the final step thus do not receive the email notifications
Does Feedburner provide any way by which I can send them a reminder mail to verify their pending subscriptions and start receiving updates of my blog posts?
Also I would like to know, just out of curiosity, how many total active subscribers/ followers do you have for your blog

feedburner.google.com should take you there or google 'google feedburner'. After that its the customary registrations and the steps that you will need to follow. It just helps to let your readers stay connected to your blogs through mails as well.
After setting everything up, if you dont want to send your entire posts in the mailbox but only a short summary, then Go to Optimize -> Summary Burner (Last In Services section) and customize the number of words you want to send to the reader and activate that service!
Thats all i remember having done, but then google things always come with a host of options with which you can play around with...
Further, if you have any problems regarding this, you can always drop in a word here :)
If you want it to be simpler, you can simple add the 'Follow by e mail' gadget. With this, you need not go through the process of signing up and other things. However, to access the information regarding the subscribers you need to log into your feedburner account.
Feedburner says I have 400 readers.
According to feedburner I have 314 readers..but the number keeps on fluctuating all the time..donno why.. :|

Ouch!, the talk of a 1000 followers and even a 100 followers hurts! I have a meager 26 followers, most of whom I think I had to bribe/blackmail/con to follow me! Wil that tactic work again? :) If I give out one dairy milk to each of the people on this thread, will you follow me? :P....Puhleeese...make me respectable enough on indiblogger! I do have a subscribe to email widget, but I wonder why I never managed to find out if I had any following in that! Any hints on how I am supposed to do that?

I have done the feedburner thingy and also set up the subscribe by e-mail option. But I have a confusion. The feedburner account gave the following link - http://feeds.feedburner.com/LuciferHouseInc
I have copied the same to the Setting->Site Feed Tab
The Follow by e mail has a a link like this

Which of them is right? Do they have to be the same? I am confused.
Also what is this RSS and Atom?

RSS and Atom are two different feed formats. I don't know what really is the difference between them. They both look the same.
Coming to your actual problem, both of them are correct links. I think that you have set up the e mail subscription directly from Blogger. (Inserting gadget) In such a case, blogger automatically burns the feed on feedburner and it has generated http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/WkxFP for you. The other one http://feeds.feedburner.com/LuciferHouseInc has been added by you manully to your Feedburner account. This is what I would suggest you to do:
1. Go to your feedburner account and delte the feed associated with http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/WkxFP
2. Search for the other feed on your home page and click on it.
3. Click on the publicize tab on the top
4. click 'e mail subscriptions' link to the left
5. click on activate button.
6. select the appropriatye code and insert it as a html gadget on your blog
If you do not wish to do all this, you can leave them as they are. It would not make any difference. The only problem is that people may read your feed in a reader by using either of the two feeds. So, you have to check the stats oof each separately. And, in the fututre if you would like to show your RSS readers number ion your blog, there will be no way to combine both the numbers.

I finally managed to get it running. First day the subscribers number showed as 4. Second day it is showing as 168 and now 171. Wondering if something is wrong.
Wierd Even someone else in the thread mentioned about fluctuations in the numbers, but I have never experienced such a thing ever! See how it goes in the coming days.

I have got 36 e-mail subscribers to my blog, but connecting to it to facebook via the networked blogs app has made more people to visit it lately whenever any post is published.
I have 70 subscribers currently. Hope to keep them happy and more to a bigger number.
i have installed a plugin called susbscribe 2 which i use for subscriptions.It lets me send reminders to people who have not confirmed and also confirm them o my own :).but its not a feedburner but a direct email thing.I sort of prefer it
I have arnd 80 subscribers like this plus 177 facebook followers on my page(not my friend list but Facebook page) and 500 youtube subscribers :)

yeah subscribe2 is a good plugin. i would rather use feedburner for feed and email subscription.
kinda trust google more then the plugin provider. dont wanna annoy my users with spam emails.

I concentrated on email subscription requested and see now 1065 Email followeres. :)
I switched to subscribe2 and as someone said i subscribed using my own email too so i can see how many emails are going. If you want u can switch over to this plugin.sounds promosing.

The number of followers jumped from the last count to 29 which is almost double, i believe my posts are being read or promoted by my circle

Actually i am a webmaster of various websites of NGOs which i support during my free time so get exposed to many things
My followers is 129, feed burner shows a number of 182 and e-mail subscribers at 2. One is me. Other is a lady I do not know. Still not figured out the jumpt from 4 to 178 the day after installing feedbruner. Any body has tips on which features to activate in feedburner?

I think the email subscriber number is proper, I check that only for my blog through feedburner.
As you have already email subscribers it means almost all neccery services are active. What you need to do is encourage your freinds and readers to subscribe. Like you can create a thank you page and redicted them to this page whenever someone comments first time on your blog asking to subscribe and like ur F page. Haven't tried this my self yet but seen on my freinds blogs, it works.Hello bar is one of the great tool too to attract attentation of user to subscribe.
