Hi, does anyone here use Big Rock as there webhosts. There service is really shabby to say the least. But then I got there service throught a scheme. So are the other services better. Can any of you further suggest some good webhosts.

Yup, second lighthouse. Hostgator is good and recently they have opened a new datacenter in India so even better loading times for their customers. I currently use Bluehost, its good but back then hostgator didn't have a server farm in India. :D

host gator recently launched a server farm in India in Nashik! So we should have faster DNS resolution as well

well they all are the same when time comes to fix a problem. still you have the advantage of the servers being in india.

Hi Jitaditya, If u fo to my website http/::chocolatesanddreams.in you will see that there is a lot of gap between the text. Even when I do not actually put any. The pictures get unaligned and the text add automatic space. It has been over 2 weeks since I have discussed the problem with them. The girl at there India centre cudn't help and asked me to send a mail to be escalated to there US ofc. No movement as yet.

Hi, couldn't figure out what platform you are using. I mean, is it the issue with the host or probably with the theme you are using?...

Also did you try Livechat with them?...

I have actually got better replies by submitting a ticket...

Hey, live chat I will have to try. The ticket thing has been dangling for almost 2 weeks now. I don't think it is a theme issue, but I will change a few themes and check. The theme's suck as well. I was so in love with wordpress, How do I go back and still be able to put up adds etc.

wordpress is the best & easiest...!

BTW the reason why I started with BigRock was that it started Indian operations just at the time when I was looking for such a service... It accepted local payment through netbanking unlike the big ones who needed credit cards...

I am not sure why you are facing this problem. I use BigRock for a site of mine, and haven't had any unordinary issues that could not be resolved. But my best experience has been with host gator and dreamhost. They seriously know what they are doing.

I have a site hosted on Znet as well. They are also decent; but their support engineers really need to learn english! :)

No second Choice, Hostgator is the best. Especially in terms of customer support and uptime. Moreover their cc team is Wordpress specialists and hosting packages are optimized for Wordpress. The only problem is that (Only for Indian users), payment option is Credit card and PayPal only. No Debit card or Netbanking. If anybody facing such payment issues please feel free to contact me.

@Rituparna

Yeah even I think so this is not the issue with the host and its a theme probs you can confirm by changing themes rest for long lasting best service to avoid such issues even if its a bigrock issue go with hostgator as they have awesome support for non-tech customers too you need something you doont know, how to do it?mostly they do it for you like changing permisssions on images and folders in your wordpressd directory etc etc
