White birds, harbingers of peace flew over the temple as the triangular flay swayed in the wind blowing across from the Arabian Sea. The Somnath Temple stood majestically, bathed by the golden light of the setting sun. But the temple that now stands enveloped in an aura of peace hides the scars of having been plundered and destroyed time and again, of rising from the ashes again and again. A symbol of faith and resilience of the people of the country.
