There are massive differences between writing a blog and a story for publication. To me, blogging is a form of self expression, what I write on my blog are my ideas, experiences and thoughts that I want to communicate.

On the other hand, when you are writing a story, you create a plot and a set of characters. It is like you have a filter and you see the world as your characters would, react to situations like they would and write how they would think and speak. It is their story that you are telling, not your own.It is completely different from blogging!
