Q&A

I am working on a couple of short films and lifestyle videos which will be available online September onward.

Earlier this year, I conceptualized and directed videos for the music project 'Chaitunes', a series of music singles where musicians of various genres collaborate and create great music. Every song in the ChaiTunes series has a visual narrative and all the stories happen over cups of tea.  Akaxok Subo Khuju is one of the videos. I do also take great delight in travelling and making travel videos. One such travel video is Dehradun in 24 hours.

My Short Story The Cursed One was published in the online magazine Fried Eye.

Back in 2013, a music video that I had conceptualized and directed won the following awards. The project is Aawaz - speak up against sexual violence

  • Best Music Video - 2nd Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival, 2013.
  • Best Music Video - Hollywood Shorts Reel, 2014.
  • Best Music Award & Best Music Video - Noida International Film Festival, 2014.
  • Bronze Medal - Global Music Awards, 2014.

The song aimed to sensitize people about various social evils like sexual violence, child abuse and marital rape. The core idea behind the song was to encourage people to speak up and not hush up such matters.

The joy and challenges of writing something interesting remains the same regardless of the platform. Blogging is instantaneous and independent of any bottlenecks, and therefore makes sense in today's mbps driven world. However, the thrill of being a published writer is beyond words, and especially when you're getting published by Harper Collins, well, that's just the cherry on top. The Get Published program by Indiblogger gave me not just an opportunity to be published, but to be mentored by an amazing writer like Amitabha Bagchi, who helped me tremendously in transforming my messy first draft into a relatable story.
